Spark Creative Makes Another Oklahoma City Acquisition in Studio Flight

Studio Flight Becomes 3rd Acquisition by Spark Creative in Three Years

September 21, 2021 (OKLAHOMA CITY): Studio Flight, a premium digital content agency known for its breath-taking video, creative and media placement impact for brands like Under Armor, Orange Leaf, Oklahoma City Thunder, Clubby Seltzers, OU Health, Stephenson Cancer Center, Armstrong Auditorium (and others) was recently acquired by Oklahoma City-based Spark Creative (Spark), Spark’s third acquisition in three years.

“Our staff has always greatly admired Studio Flight’s work,” Spark CEO Christopher Lloyd said. “When we found out that an acquisition was possible, adding such a talented workforce to collaborate inside our walls was truly one of the easiest decisions we’ve had to make. Studio Flight makes for the third brand for our ownership team adding Studio Flight to the award-winning talents of Spark Creative and the EMMY-winning talents in Scissortail Media.”

Spark was founded in 2016 primarily as a social media content agency. In the early years, Spark took on national notable brands like Dippin’ Dots, Coca Cola and Krispy Kreme. One major growth area for Spark was to grow its video production capabilities (a background for Lloyd) and in 2018 made its first acquisition, Scissortail Media.

Scissortail Media is an Oklahoma City-grown storytelling video agency making an impact with Heartland Payment Systems, seven different colleges at the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma City Energy, Insurica, Martin Bionics and also focuses on many incredible nonprofits and community-centric clients like Infant Crisis Services, Big Brothers Big Sisters and Variety Care.

Last year, Spark acquired Cornett Marketing to round out the company’s digital marketing growth strategy. Bringing on Casey Cornett as partner and CMO to lead marketing strategy, social media strategy and all digital marketing results.
